About Our Larken X Fabric

When we set out to design the Larken X, we weren’t just looking for something soft. We needed something smarter. We removed the usual stuff. No clips. No wires. No tight bands. That meant the fabric had to do everything. Support, stretch, recover—and repeat.

After testing hundreds of fabrics over the years, we use the current polyester spandex blend for a number of reasons, including its buttery soft feel, ability to be conveniently put in the washer and dryer, and most importantly, its stretch and recovery, which is crucial to the design and functionality. Even better? It’s OEKO-TEX certified to ensure that the fabric has been rigorously tested against a list of up to 300 toxic chemicals, and its silky smooth finish is moisture wicking and won’t stick to your sensitive skin so you can stay cool and dry day and night.

Tested in real life—not just on paper. From cluster feeds to 2 a.m. pumps, from crib naps to commute days. We wore it, washed it, lived in it. Because we know you will, too.

HOW IT WORKS

To pump, simply make an X!

Step 1

Pull the outer layer of fabric down and the inner layer up.

Step 2

Position the flange between both layers, over the nipple.

Step 3

Repeat the first step, in reverse order, on the opposite side. Position the flange in the same manner.

Step 4

Ensure that no fabric is trapped between your skin and the flange. You’re ready to go!

Can't wait to use for #2

I exclusively pumped (with some formula) with my first kid for 15 months. The first few months, I couldn't stand the pumping bras I had and they were a pain to set up. I kept getting ads for Larken, but didn't want to buy it since I invested so much into bras already. But I needed something better and finally made a purchase a few months postpartum. The difference was night and day. I absolutely loved how comfortable I felt in the bra, pumping or not and I ended up wearing Larkens almost exclusively for the rest of my pumping journey. Even after I was done, I still found myself wearing them for years and used them for daily use and bedtime.

Simpler than I expected!

I ordered a few different styles of nursing/pumping bra just to see what I end up liking, and I was nervous this would be too confusing to do in real time on no sleep. On trying it on, it’s actually WAY simpler than expected, and comfy too. Would recommend.

Most comfortable breastfeeding bra I own

Super comfortable. Easy to nurse in. Pumping works but is a little off on how it seals the flanges for me, hence four stars. I’m still able to use it to pump though.
