About Our Larken X Fabric

When we set out to design the Larken X, we weren’t just looking for something soft. We needed something smarter. We removed the usual stuff. No clips. No wires. No tight bands. That meant the fabric had to do everything. Support, stretch, recover—and repeat.

After testing hundreds of fabrics over the years, we use the current polyester spandex blend for a number of reasons, including its buttery soft feel, ability to be conveniently put in the washer and dryer, and most importantly, its stretch and recovery, which is crucial to the design and functionality. Even better? It’s OEKO-TEX certified to ensure that the fabric has been rigorously tested against a list of up to 300 toxic chemicals, and its silky smooth finish is moisture wicking and won’t stick to your sensitive skin so you can stay cool and dry day and night.

Tested in real life—not just on paper. From cluster feeds to 2 a.m. pumps, from crib naps to commute days. We wore it, washed it, lived in it. Because we know you will, too.

HOW IT WORKS

To pump, simply make an X!

Step 1

Pull the outer layer of fabric down and the inner layer up.

Step 2

Position the flange between both layers, over the nipple.

Step 3

Repeat the first step, in reverse order, on the opposite side. Position the flange in the same manner.

Step 4

Ensure that no fabric is trapped between your skin and the flange. You’re ready to go!

Look no further for the perfect pumping bra

I spent weeks after my son was born looking for pumping bras. I’m a smaller chested mama, and my son is recovering from a tongue tie procedure, which means I only want soft, comfy fabric near my nipples. I found pumping bras that were way too big, some that had too much structure or uncomfortable fabrics or seam lines near the nipples, and one with the nipple holes way too close together. Then I found the Larken X. It’s soft, flexible, simple design works perfectly for me. I can wear it comfortably all day with my clothes. It works for nursing or pumping, and it works with both my Spectra and Elvie pumps. It’s comfy to sleep in. I actually like wearing in (gasp!). It’s hands-down the best nursing and pumping related product I have found since having a baby. I couldn’t wait to tell our lactation consultant about it so she could share with all her clients.

The only postpartum bra you need.

I am a new mom- and I can’t stress enough that this is the only bra you need. I bought bras from all the major brands (bodily, kindred braverly, etc.) and this is the only one I wear. It’s simple yet can do nursing and pumping without all the bulk/clips/layers. Not to mention is a nice basic top that you can layer under! My only take is that there is no pads so for leakage- so you need to wear your own nursing pads. And secondly, for larger chested ladies this tank offers no support. I’m a very full 34C (maybe an D since I’m breastfeeding atm) and the small works for a more snug supported fit but I preferred the medium.
